Metals prices this morning are mixed with Jun gold -16.3 (-1.26%) at a 1-1/2 week low, May silver -0.081 (-0.45%) at a 1-month low, and May copper +0.018 (+0.71%). Friday's closes: Jun gold +5.3 (+0.41%), May silver -0.162 (-0.90%), May copper -0.0045 (-0.18%). Metals on Friday settled mixed. Metals prices were undercut by a stronger dollar and by the fall in the U.S. Apr Markit manufacturing PMI to a 7-month low. Gold closed higher on increased safe-haven demand due to political risk from Sunday's presidential election in France.
